About Rip Curl Pro Mentawai

The 2012 Rip Curl Pro Mentawai presented by the Mentawai Government is the first-ever professional surf contest held at world-famous Macaronis on North Pagai Island, Mentawais.

This dual sanctioned 6-star ISC/ASC event has a waiting period running from May 23 – 30, 2012. The Rip Curl Pro Mentawai is stop No. 2 of 6 on the 2012 ISC Pro Tour, and stop No. 3 of 7 on the 2012 ASC Pro Tour. The competition will feature both Men's and Women's Open events and a total prize purse of IDR 65 million, in addition to valuable tour points that will determine the eventual ISC and ASC champions at the end of the season.
