Rip Curl GromSearch finalists arrived in Bali..

Finalists of the Rip Curl GromSearch 2009 series gathered in Bali today ahead of the National GromSearch Finals to be held during the Rip Curl Surf And Music Festival on Sunday 25th October.

To ready the frothing Groms for the National Finals, Rip Curl’s elite team riders along with RC Indo Team Manager Wayan Yudha and top coaches from Rip Curl School of Surf gave the lucky groms a full day of fun and surf training at Halfway Beach, Kuta.

Rip Curl’s training Camp aims to prepare the young surfers for the National Finals and also to show them how to compete at the highest level giving them the chance to add their names on the world GromSearch trophy along with past winners including Stephanie Gilmore, Ben Dunn, Mason Ho, Matt Wilkinson, Jessi Miley-Dyer and Alana Blanchard, Garut Widiartha and Oney Anwar. 

RC Indonesia Team Manager Wayan Yudha said today: “This year the strongest competitors are from Java. As all finalists represent the best young surfers Indonesia has to offer and the winner receiving a ticket to the International GromSearch Finals in Australia in 2010, this training camp is provided to help them to become more professional. Together with Australian coaching this experience should give them a head-start in becoming the next generation of Indonesian surfing champions.”
